The world between the worlds is called The Veil. It’s foggy and dim and full of dangerous creatures, but nestled in a shadowed forest on a floating island in the sky, the Emberstone Tavern can make your journey worthwhile. Maybe you’re looking for a magical cure or the power to turn lead into gold or a power source that won’t ever run out. You never know what you might find at the Emberstone, but if you travel there, best remember that you ought to bring something to trade. After all, nothing worth having has ever been free.
Montgomery Plum never planned on being a chef. On the contrary, he had always been a mechanic. But when you need work, you do what you have to. And that’s how crusty, greasy, wrench-at-the-ready Monty Plum ended up slinging chicken pot pies at the Emberstone Tavern in the Veil. But what happens when he receives a crate of mysterious purple vegetables? What in the twelve realms is he supposed to do with an eggplant?
